Hero Build Part 2

Here Im Looking more into the build of the character. I think I have sorted out the leg issue of it being to small and close together. I like 3 5 and 6, however with 3 i think ill have a few problems with the arm like i did before. However I think there an improvement from the last lot and it will be interesting to see when there blocked out.

Building A Hero

Here I was trying to get a pose working for me. I Think I found a pose that worked but, however My drawing skills let me down.  1,2 and 3 were working out the pose, trying out the same build but with slight differences. I Liked no 3 so I moved on to blocking it out which went very very wrong and I could not work out why. I Then decided to draw him an outline which I thought went well. I then decided to block him out again but adding light to it to see If I could work out where I was going wrong.

I believe that the main reason it was going wrong for me is that the image is a little out of proportion.
Even though these have yet to be the template from which I will build the character I think I have found my pose If I can just work out the small details.

Hero Influences

Due to the fact I feel Im mainly finding the hero the hardest at the moment Im really looking at figuring him out. I know how I want him in regards to his Bio, a hero whom is a little anti hero and attitude, but his pose, which I feel once I have that down it'll be easier, is what I'm struggling to figure out.

So to help I thought I would look towards the samurai.

Jumper For Our Character

Here is the chest and hands I was modelling. In the image it self it picked up places which needed going over to smooth a little which i have done so. The Uved one is the one where it has all been smoothed and neatened up.

The Legs Of Our Character

Here I’ve been working on are characters legs. It does have a few small faults but most were an attempt get texture of the clothing. It dues also have a have long front and back crutch area but this will be covered by the shirt.

Mr Hero

Here Im looking at my hero. I think I made a mistake In the posture and feel I need some help with this as Im finding it rather hard to get a good hero pose. I feel the pose I have is holding it character back and what I can do with it.

Even so I like no 5,6 due to they, I feel have something working for them.  Im not quite sure what it is but I think in a better pose it could work better.

Hero

Evil Villain & Sidekick

Here Im beginning to look at the shape and form of my characters as well as costume. Im working in silhouettes to get the shape instead of spending to long trying to work out everything.

I have found doing silhouettes to be my saviour as I was quite reserved about this project so far due to my personnel fear of drawing characters. I have found working this way to be way I can grasp this project due to not having to worry about to much detail at any one time.

For this I started off with the character I chose from my drawn line up and then re-drew them to get any little faults i could see out of them. I then made it into a silhouette and went from there adding and trying shapes here and there to see what worked and what didnt.

Character silhouettes

Here I've blocked out the characters and have chosen a few too work on for each character.

Villains

For the female villain i have chosen 1,5,6 to work on as I feel they have the most potential due to there posture. I feel i could get a mean overlord out of them.

1

Sidekick

For the sidekick i have chosen 2,3 as they, to me at least, feel somewhat dumb. They are a little boring but thats what I want for my evil sidekick.

2

Hero

I do not feel my hero has come out too well is these and need some work done. However I feel a mix of 2,3 could work though I will properly need someone to model for me to get the right pose I was actually after. What Im actually going for is a kind of badass hero, one that is a little dark so Im after a power pose yet one that can be tweaked to get a mean look as well. I feel no 2,3 came out better in the simple line drawing and will be going back and relooking at them.

3

Character Sheets

Here are some quick posses for my villain, her sidekick and the hero.
From here ill be blocking them out and then chosen maybe one or two from each too add details.

Character Lesson 6

In the class we mainly looked at silhouettes for monsters so we could later use this for our characters.
I think they came out okay, the 1st lot where very boring but the 2nd and 3rd lot was much better.

1

2

3

We then had to take a silhouettes at begin to add details. I decided I would do the tree figure in page two.

I think he came out well as he is rather interesting though his anatomy is a little confusing.

3

House Warping

Here going on some feedback, I have plaeyed with the smooth edges of the house. I have rounded them off to see what it would loook like. I like the one on the left as I think if its going to be rounded, the doors and windows will have to be as well.

Green World Begins To Die

Here Im introducing the towering buildings and killing the greenery away. Im also looking at adding a gloomy feel to it.
